The Chelsea is a stunning industrial reclaimed dining table with a square steel box base.
These reclaimed and rustic dining tables have been carefully handmade in our Devonshire workshop, using only the finest materials.
The top of the dining table is extremely heavy and is near 2 inch thick reclaimed mature wood sourced from abandoned mills, churches, and industrial buildings right here in the UK. We have meticulously sanded and finished the rustic chunky antique wood, flaunting all of it's patina and charm, whilst leaving it smooth to the touch. Nail holes, scars, and dents have been revealed under a new light, which is impossible to reproduce in cheaply made, mass-produced furniture, especially dining tables. The extremely unique, robust and heavy base is made from box steel, giving a true statement shape and feel to the table. If you are looking for a reclaimed wood dining table for your dining room or kitchen that screams iconic interior design, this is it.

We offer a variety of lengths ranging from 100cm - 250cm
Height: 45cm
Depth: 35cm
Please be aware, benches are not included with the dining table. You need to select these from the drop-down menu and add to your basket along with your chosen dining table size.
Should you want your bench to fit underneath the table, please leave a note on the checkout requesting this. Please be aware, the maximum size bench that can fit underneath a table is 20cm shorter than the table length. For example, a 160cm length table can have a maximum of a 140cm bench fitting underneath.
The table pictured is the 180 x 88cm size, with a 140cm bench.
Assembly: Some assembly required. Delivered flat packed for manoeuvrability. The frame is in three pieces, with two bolts to tighten. The top is then fixed with screws, easy peasy!
As always, all of our pieces are of charm and patina, they are irreplaceable and timeless in style and all carry with them a story. As our wood is reclaimed, it is the green option. With each piece we make, we are saving one tree at a time, saving countless habitats and keeping animals in their homes where they belong.
Our wood is finished with an oil and wax, which is durable and easily fixed should it encounter a glass of red wine (spilled expertly ofcourse!). Our welds will stand proudly on show (not ground back and hidden) and the wood will have the most beautiful flaws, such as dents, holes, marks, stains, and scars. We don't sand the underside of our pieces, and leave the reclaimed rustic wood in its raw state, it will be rough to the touch and treated with a simple oil so that everyone can embrace its fantastic transformation!

Yes, all of our Furniture is handmade using solid reclaimed wood, which ensures a beautiful patina and exceptional durability.
Can I customise the size of my dining table?
Yes, as we made everything to order, you can specify the exact size of dining table and bench to suit your space. Just let us know the sizes you require in the live chat or contact us via email and we will be happy to help.
How long does it take to receive my dining table?
As all of our products are made to order, there is a lead time which varies from product to product. On average our lead time is about 4 weeks, however for more accurate estimates, please see the Delivery times under the prices at the top of the page.
If I order a Dining table and bench, can I have the bench fit underneath?
Yes, absolutely. With most of our dining tables you need to order a bench that is at least 20cm shorter than the dinng table itself for it to fit underneath for space saving. There are a few exceptions to this, so please check the dimensions at the top of the page to make sure.

After a Google search and looking through reviews, we decided to buy our new dining room table and bench from Shabby Bear Cottage. We got a decent discount too. The table and bench arrived a wee bit later than scheduled but I understand they would’ve been really busy over the festive period. The table and bench were assembled quickly and easily. I have to say we’re over the moon with the quality and we love the table and bench. It gets many hours a day of use as the kids use it all the time. The communication from Shabby Bear was excellent and they’ve gone the extra mile during the entire process. Very highly recommended!

The table it’s self is stunning, so thrilled with it. I hadn’t appreciated I would need a drill as there are no pre drilled holes for the table legs. I was only left with enough screws for the table and not the bench and when we fitted the bench legs to the wood due to the wood being slightly uneven the bench wobbles on the floor. A shame as I think the furniture is stunning but this put a slight dampener on it

Contacted seller on a query, had immediate response. Ordered table and bench arrived on date and on time. Table needed assembling legs which was soo easy, wood is rustic and surprisingly heavy. Brilliant purchase. Would recommend to family and friends.

Absolutely love the table, it's really finished off the look of my living space. The bench is great too, the only thing I would say is that I assumed the bench would fit under the table (which it doesn't), but that is probably down to me not being very good at maths! Table is great and so is the bench. But I did knock one star off for the extremely delayed delivery. I totally understand the company had some issues with the courier (and when they did deliver the table, they were fab, and no boxes & packaging which I SO appreciated - not having to go down to the tip with kilo's of thick cardboard), but there was no communication that the delivery was going to be late, and once I had received an initial reply, there was then no response. I appreciate how difficult/annoying this must be for the company to have people chasing all the time, but perhaps until the delivery system is sorted, they could have someone dedicating some time each day just to do some comms to customers who's orders are delayed? Either way, I would definitely buy from this company again, great product.
