What is a reclaimed wood dining table?

A reclaimed wood dining table is made using timber that has been carefully salvaged and then repurposed. Not only does this create natural grain patterns and patina that is impossible to recreate with new timber, but it also gives wood a second life, meaning another tree doesn't have to die. Unlike mass produced furniture, a reclaimed dining table is both sustainable and built to last, making reclaimed wood dining tables a popular choice for those looking to bring more character to their home without compromising on structure and functionality. With over 15 years crafting our dining tables by hand, each one is made with precision and passion that is unmatched.

For busy homes with large families, 100cm or even 120cm of space is ideal. When planning your room, remember that reclaimed wood dining tables are solid and substantial, so giving it breathing room helps with it feeling balanced and practical, whilst showcasing its natural character.

How to choose a dining table?

When choosing a reclaimed wood dining table, consider the size of your room and how much space you need around it. Think about how many people will be sat at the dining table every day, and also think about gatherings. Then, think about whether you want to have a bench or two to maximise seating options, whether you would like the bench to fit underneath or sit alongside the table, and then finally you need to consider the colour. We offer a wide variety of finishes, including antique oak, antique pine, limed oak and natural.

How to dress a dining table?

In order to keep your reclaimed wood dining table looking its best, it is important that you follow these steps.

1. Clean your reclaimed dining table regularly with a soft damp cloth.

2. Keep away from direct sources of heat and light, as this can cause wood movement.
