​Our charming Montessori style open bookshelf is the pinnacle of industrial and vintage furniture. Expertly crafted in Britain using reclaimed wood and British steel, our open bookcase is not only stylish, but it really makes a statement. The solid wood is full of character, and ​the heavy industrial steel really makes the bookshelf both tactile, unique and excellent for storing your little ones items in the most stylish way! Not only will your children be able to see their toys, but you can rotate whats on offer each week and let them decide what they want to play with. When they are done, packing their toys away is enjoyable and easy to do!

The chunky reclaimed wood has been sanded and finished, leaving it smooth to the touch, whilst keeping all of the character and charm. This is impossible to reproduce in cheaply made, mass produced childrens bookshelves.
Expertly designed to flaunt all of its handmade goodness, this bookcase will age with grace in any setting. 

As always, handmade with love in Britain in our Devonshire workshop!

Height : 70cm Space between shelves (30cm) - but can be customized to your specifications.

Assembly: None Required. Delivered as a finished item.

These shelves require fixing to a wall for safety, as they are heavy. Little L shape brackets are easy to fit to the wall. 

As always, all of our pieces are of charm and patina, they are irreplaceable and timeless in style and all carry with them a story. As our wood is reclaimed, it is the green option. With each piece we make, we are saving one tree at a time, saving countless habitats and keeping animals in their homes where they belong. 
Our wood is finished with an oil and wax, which is durable and easily fixed should it encounter a glass of red wine (spilt expertly ofcourse!). Our welds will stand proudly on show (not ground back and hidden) and the wood will have the most beautiful flaws, such as dents, holes, marks, stains, and scars.  We don't sand the underside of our pieces, and leave the reclaimed rustic wood in its raw state, it will be rough to the touch and treated with a simple oil so that everyone can embrace its fantastic transformation!

Very rustic and a bit rough n ready looking but solid and the rustic element really makes the piece of furniture look the part and was exactly what I wanted. Lots of compliments coming to it. Thank you. It’s great

Beautiful furniture with authentic feel

I absoluetly love these shelves. They have such a lovely feel to them and its great to have something that doesn't feel mass produced. It took a while to arrive after ordering, but worth the wait. I use it as a toy display shelf in the living room, and when the kids grow up it will still have a place in the room as grown up display shelves

Love my shelf. Wonderfully made, looks great and very sturdy. I measured incorrectly when ordering and got in touch with kathy a few days later to change my order. She did so without complaining and didn’t even charge. 10/10 for customer service. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful piece

This is a beautiful piece of furniture. We have set it up for our kids, and it is the perfect solution to keep their toys a bit more ordered, allowing us to see what they like and to encourage their play in a calmer way. It's such a lovely piece, made from reclaimed wood, that i'm sure we will find other uses for it too in years to come as the kids get older. Love it!
